After a long and trying health issue, I had to reintroduce some basic foods into my system. I'm learning what causes peace and what causes a war in my system! Journey with me through this trial and error experiment as I learn, grow and heal. (Pizza with carmelized onions, squash, vegan ricotta, kale and cranberries.)
This dish was absolutely delicious! However, I should stay away from fried foods and spicey foods. It's a "no" for me, but I still recommend it. ;-)
Eddie V's Prime Seafood, El Segundo, CA
All of this was yummy and agreed with my system. Yes! I recommend it all. Maybe I could have had the spinach without the cheese...

Amazing! The slaw was super flavorful. Yes, it was like eating a fried chicken sandwich. I think the amount of french fries I ate gave me big problems. Next time I'll try the sandwich with a salad. Excellent vegan restaurant!
Nic's on Beverly, Los Angeles, CA
Avocadoes on toasted French bread with everything seasoning. Yummy and soothing to the gut.

Grilled shrimp with two amazing sauces and an arugula salad. Very yummy to my tummy!
Shrimp with black beans, cilantro, green onions, black olives, and taco sauce. Very delicious with no issues! Made at home.
Avocado toast (gluten free) with arugula and an egg fried over-hard. Eggs don't always agree with me, but this sure was yummy going down!
Grilled fish tacos with cilantro rice and black beans. Excellent choice and it made my belly smile!
Shrimp pad thai with green beans. (no peanuts) Very yummy. Rice noodles always agree with me. Just have to go easy on the spices.
P. F. Chang's, Temecula, CA
Baked tilapia with spinach, mushrooms, lemon juice, vegan butter, parmesean cheese, and breadcrumbs. Whelp! Cheese is still a no-no for me.

These blackened tilapia tacos were delicious, but I think the crumbled croutons on the salad caused a problem given that I'm gluten-free.
My "go to" food. My day must be started with oatmeal in order for it to be a great day!
So I decided to create something different with my safe foods, and just like that, a new menu item was born! I had it with white rice. Delicious and peaceful!!!

Javier's never disappoints! This was absolutely yummy, and it did not upset the situation. Well, maybe that cream sauce on the top wasn't the best idea...
Nooooo! I'm pretty much restricted from eating most of these ingredients (peppers, tomatoes, avocados), so I tasted a shrimp, then pushed it away. It was pretty though.
This was so yummy! These were rice noodles with a spicy peanut sauce, but not too spicy. It also had egg, bean sprouts, cilantro, and a few other things that were amazing. This was a gamgle, but surprisingly, it did not bother me. Yayyy!
I was craving BBQ beans, so I went for it! I overdid it a bit. A little too much fiber... Next time, a smaller portion will do. Craving met!

This was quite yummy, and I only ate a couple of the potatoes since they are not friendly to me. I would order this again. No issues!
I put 2 teaspoons of chia seeds in a bottle of water each morning, let it sit until they puff up, then drink half of the bottle with breakfast and the other half with lunch. In addition to the many health benefits of chia seeds, they help with my digestion. A sure winner!
Crab cake benedict on gluten free bread with fruit instead of potatoes. I actually did okay with this. I think the sunshine and love that surrounded me was the secret ingredient.
Tuna Tar Tar with rice, wasabi and ginger. It was absolutely delicious!
Chicken & shrimp with grilled veggies and steamed rice. Always a winner!
This delicious shrimp taco bowl with cilantro, garlic, lemon, onions, and rice was super yummy, But something about the fried tortillas didn't work well with my system... Next time, soft shell it is!
These veggies were everything! White carrots, orange carrots, and broccoli with garlic, honey and teriyaki sauce. A new favorite!
Chef Mom :-)
I'm working on making more bowls and sticking to seafood or vegan options. This was yummy and contained everything that I can eat. Avocados are tolerated in small portions...

I was really stepping out on a limb by ordering this, but to my surprise, it was delicious and didn't cause any issues. Tummy was fine and I slept well. And yes, I did nibble on the cornbread in the background. :-)
Since they only had flour tortillas (no gluten for me!), I had them put the taco filling over rice. It was absolutely yummy AND agreed with my system! #winning
I'm not sure if it was the food or the love that came along with it, but this was absolutely delicious and issue free!
It's safe to say that a Japanese menu agrees with me more than any other menu. Thank goodness it's one of my favorite foods!
Kani House, Johns Creek
Citrus teriyaki grilled chicken breast and rice was absolutely yummy. The spinach was easy to digest, but the kale may have been too rough for me.
Not ready for kale! :-(
Mi Casa
When I find foods that work, I mix and match them to give myself the illusion that I'm actually having something new. Guaranteed peace!
Turmeric and lemon rice has become a favorite of mine! It's so yummy and goes with almost anything, including my delicious sauteed spinach. Yep, that's air-fried chicken on the plate too. Peace.
Since rice is a winner for me, I decided to try rice noodles. I'm so glad I did! It's a delicious way to have pasta feelings without the actual pasta/gluten. I love my new discovery. Light and yummy. Peace.
Since most of my fruits and veggies have to be cooked, I made this warm fruit compote to go on top of my gluten-free waffles. Filling, delicious and made my tummy very happy. Peace.
I'm so proud of myself for this homemade miso soup with lemon, garlic, spinach and rice noodles. Miso is good for the gut, so healthy, peaceful gut it is! Absolutely delicious!
NOM NOM NOM! Seared scallops with balsamic glaze, roasted veggies and rice. All these were delicious, safe foods. Peace!
This box gave me peace. Rice, cooked veggies and chicken are my safe place. I usually sleep well with different versions of these foods. My go-to meal.
Sushi Bar, San Francisco, CA
Um yea... I'm learning that gluten is not my friend. Neither are some raw fruits and veggies. Delicious, but no peace!
Eight AM, San Francisco, CA
Almost, but no cigar or peace! All was well until I poured the black bean sauce over the salmon (small container upper right).
This meant WAR!
Fresh 2 Order, Atlanta, GA
Good ole electrolytes! When you need to replenish, but don't want the sugar in the other drinks. Peace!
Absolutely delicious! No spicy sauce next time and we'll be at peace.
True Food Kitchen, Atlanta, GA
This gluten free blueberry muffin has become a favorite that gives me peace and the vanilla, almond milk, cappuccino is heaven!
